Welcome to the Wiki of Warbirds!

Img 4916
This Wiki is about the individual history of Aviation. It will deal with the background of individual aircraft as well as the histories of the surviving aircraft.

So far, we have 122 articles as of September 2008.

What is a Warbird and why are they important?

The term Warbird is used to describe vintage military aircraft and this Wiki specialises in Warbirds, mainly Classic Aircraft from WWI, WWII and post war periods. Most of the aircraft featured on this Wiki are ones that you can still see flying today at airshows across the world. It is important to protect aging warbirds because they are often all that's left of an era an they themselves can explain what exacltly had happened in these great conflicts.
